I didn’t mean to disappear from my knitblog, but there isn’t much to say recently. I haven’t been knitting much and I’ve been preoccupied with life and such. The KZ Hybrid project had seen quite a bit of progress, but I’m thinking about frogging it back as I didn’t decrease enough for the armhole/neckline. The result was armholes suitable for someone at least 5 size bigger, in a pullover of my size. In other words, the armholes are as long as the body. *sigh* For that reason, KZ Hybrid had been given the cold shoulder even though it is entirely my fault.
On a brighter side, I found this AMAZING book, Knitting in the Old Way. I went to the library today and spotted this book. Its comprehensive and interesting. Kinda like knitting’s history book. The best part is that it does not give patterns; it shows how to knit a garment without relying on line-by-line pattern, which is how I like to knit. Most of the time, projects knitted from patterns turn out a little wonky for me. I’m a Tweaker! =P Anyway, if you are interested to an ‘independent’ knitter, this is the book for you. Do check it out.
Oh yes, do keep the suggestions for TSY coming.
