Yes, we have an FO. Finally. This project had been so fun and easy. And it doesn’t have any fancy name. For once.

Big and Red Lacey Scarf

This is going to be a gift to a pal who is going overseas to Korea the end of this year. She told me the temperature is going to be in the sub-zeros there at that time. So my devious little mind immediately decided that Kessa needs to knit a honking-big-scrunchy-licious-vibrant-scarf for her!
This yarn from my stash was perfect. Actually, it was a UFO. Usually I call my projects WIPs even though they’ve not been worked on for more than a year. This was a true-blue UFO because I intended it to be a snug cabled shrug but it turned out to be a baby’s jacket WIP. Imagine my horror. I tried to ‘make it work’.. The body was completed and I seamed it up to see if that will change anything. That was just silly. Like seaming ever changed the size of a project? lol. Of course it was banished to the bottom of the stash and never saw light till its vibrant colour caught my eye when I was searching for a suitable yarn for this project. I think it is perfect for brightening up any winter day for a tropical girl. Don’t you think so too?
A few ways to wear this honking-big-scrunchy-licious-vibrant-scarf.. (sorry, bed hair again.)

As a shawl.

Shawl – back.

Draped on.

Around the shoulders.

And of course, as a scarf!
Just in case someone wants to knit this…

Oo looks lovely! Thanks for the pattern.
[...] it might be kinda unfair. I’m giving the other girls scarves like the Diagonal Eyelet and Big, Lacey & Red, so I think its only fair to give the 3rd girl a similar scarf - the pink one shown above. The [...]
